CAVALIERE D'ORO CHIANTI
Situated in the heart of Tuscany, the Chianti region of Italy is iconic for its bold and robust Chianti and Chianti Classico wines. Cavaliere d’Oro harnesses the treasures of the Chianti region, with our Chianti, Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva, and our single-vineyard Chianti Classico Bellezza. These exceptional Chiantis were born at the Castello di Gabbiano, the core of Cavaliere d’Oro’s heritage.
CHIANTI DOCG
A balanced bouquet of wild red berries and floral violet notes. This Chianti has a mélange of dryness and great freshness, with soft tannins and a medium body. The lingering finish of berries on the palate is pleasant and smooth.
CHIANTI CLASSICO DOCG
Our Chianti Classico is crafted from a selection of estate-grown grapes. In the glass the wine promises fragrant aromas of violet and red berries. On the mouth-watering palate, classic red cherry flavours and notes of white pepper and nutmeg come through backed up by firm tannins creating a well-balanced wine with juicy acidity and freshness.
CHIANTI CLASSICO RISERVA DOCG
Our Chianti Classico Riserva is crafted from exceptional parcels from estate vineyards - a deep, ruby red color, this wine offers lovely red fruity notes coming led with hints of strawberries, citrus and tobacco. Same flavors extend to the fruit-filled palate with additional earthy and spicy notes, firm tannins balanced by fresh acidity and good complexity.
CHIANTI CLASSICO BELLEZZA
Our Bellezza meaning ‘beauty’ is just that. A deep ruby red color in the glass, the wine opens with enticing aromas of red berry and citrus fruits contrasted by spicy vanilla toast notes. In the mouth, the wine is very well balanced with flavors of black cherry and raspberry that are complemented by subtle hints of orange peel and cedar. Crafted from exceptional grapes from a single estate vineyard, hints of flint come through on the aroma of the lengthy finish. The food-friendly palate is fresh and mouth-watering, supported by the distinctive acidulous nerve of Sangiovese that carries this wine.
About the Region
For a Chianti to be a Chianti, it must be produced within the borders of the beautiful Chianti region and be made from at least 80% Sangiovese grapes. The aging requirements of Chiantis, however, vary per varietal.
